Sometimes a patch does not start as just another product idea.
Instead it starts with a world an artist has already created.

She creates unique artwork inspired by Japanese aesthetics, quiet moments, and characters filled with personality. Her illustrations combine traditional influences, delicate details, strong contrasts, and those little hidden stories you only discover when you take a second look.

And that is exactly what we wanted to preserve.

Not just print an image onto fabric.
Not just make another patch.

We wanted to translate Rubyarts work into a completely different medium.

A lot of time went into transforming her illustration into a woven patch — replacing pixels with threads, working within the limits of colors and weaving, while keeping the soul of the original watercolor artwork alive.

The first character of this journey is:

A little sushi master somewhere between Japanese tradition, calm moments, and Ruby’s unmistakable magic.

One of the most iconic creatures in Japanese folklore, reimagined through Ruby Art's unique style.

Elegant. Mysterious. Powerful.

Once again, our goal wasn't simply to reproduce an illustration—it was to transform Ruby's artwork into a woven collectible while preserving the character, atmosphere, and fine details that make her work so special.

Every thread was carefully placed to stay true to the original artwork.
