This patch commemorates the oath of service taken by members of the German Armed Forces at the beginning of their service. With the words:
"I swear to faithfully serve the Federal Republic of Germany and to bravely defend the law and freedom of the German people, so help me God."
recruits commit themselves to responsibility, conscientiousness, and loyalty. In the solemn oath, they transition from civilian life to the military community and assume the mission of protecting our country and our liberal order.
Our patch stands for this promise and for the underlying attitude: loyalty, bravery, and camaraderie, as well as responsibility towards the state and society.
