After two successful seasons, the Ruby Art × PatchLab collaboration returns with GEISHA, the first release of Season Three.

Inspired by the elegance and rich artistic traditions of Japan, RubyArt captures a quiet moment of beauty and grace.

A young woman dressed in a beautifully patterned black kimono stands beneath a vivid red Japanese parasol. Delicate floral ornaments adorn her hair, while intricate blossoms, fine linework and the striking contrast of red, black and ivory bring the entire composition together.

Her peaceful expression and graceful posture reflect the refined aesthetics of traditional Japanese art.

A LITTLE PIECE OF JAPANESE ART

In Japanese culture, Geisha (芸者) literally means “person of the arts.” Geisha are traditionally trained in classical Japanese performing arts, including music, dance and refined hospitality.

The design also draws inspiration from:

• 着物 – Kimono: Traditional Japanese clothing, often decorated with elaborate seasonal patterns.

• 和傘 – Wagasa: The traditional Japanese umbrella, an iconic element of Japanese aesthetics.

• 花 – Hana: Flowers, representing the beauty and fleeting nature of life.

WOVEN ART WITH EMBROIDERED DETAILS

As with our previous releases, Ruby Art's original illustration has been carefully translated into a premium woven collectible.

For GEISHA, we've combined fine woven construction with selected embroidered accents, adding subtle texture and depth to the floral elements while preserving the delicate details of the original artwork.

The result is a small piece of wearable Japanese-inspired art.
