Inspired by Kyūdō (弓道) — the traditional Japanese art of archery, literally meaning “The Way of the Bow” — this artwork captures a female archer in the moment of complete focus.
Standing before a Torii beneath the rising red sun, surrounded by autumn leaves, Ruby Art combines traditional Japanese imagery with her distinctive red, black and ivory aesthetic.
Kyūdō represents far more than hitting a target. It is a practice built around discipline, composure, precision and continuous refinement — where the journey matters as much as the result.
The original Ruby Art illustration has been carefully translated into a fully woven 3 × 4 inch patch, preserving the fine details and atmosphere of the artwork in thread.
