PatchLab × Ruby Art – First Collaboration Release

Sometimes a patch does not start as just another product idea.
Sometimes it starts with a world an artist has already created.

We are excited to finally reveal our first collaboration with Ruby Art.

Ruby creates unique artwork inspired by Japanese aesthetics, quiet moments, and characters filled with personality. Her illustrations combine traditional influences, delicate details, strong contrasts, and those little hidden stories you only discover when you take a second look.

And that is exactly what we wanted to preserve.

Not just print an image onto fabric.
Not just make another patch.

We wanted to translate Ruby’s artwork into a completely different medium.

A lot of time went into transforming her illustration into a woven patch — replacing pixels with threads, working within the limits of colors and weaving, while keeping the soul of the original artwork alive.

The first character of this journey is:

🍣 SUSHI CAT 🐈⬛

A little sushi master somewhere between Japanese tradition, calm moments, and Ruby’s unmistakable magic.

And Sushi Cat is only the beginning.

The world continues with:

🦊 Kitsune
🦝 Red Panda
🎏 Koi

…and after that, a completely new Season with 4 more characters will begin.
